Winter in Wisconsin

Winter in Wisconsin
outside in the pines of Spring Green

Sunday, January 3, 2010

Wayfaring is temporarily on hold, please try your call again later.

We are in a holding pattern in the pines of Spring Green. Friends came by for the weekend! During their visit, a fan got broken (by Bea Louise's feet) and the toilet overflowed. I guess that's what we get for having friends from Beloit....raw sewage...hmmmm...... I hope this isn't an indication of what's to come this year!

Q: How do you know that you are really welcome in someone's house?

A: You get an open pass to the refrigerator, and it's genuine.

Interesting how food is associated with so many things, and you decide to share it with only your closest friends and family.

It's fun having house guests even though our house is small.....We'll be moving into an even smaller home soon!!!!Tomorrow will be the beginning of a whole house cleaning extravaganza.... whoot! Jay's niece called, she is in LaCrosse and needs to be picked up right away. Time for more house guests!

Tomorrow is my last day at work

MARY:

Tomorrow is my last day at work. Right now I am having mixed feelings about leaving! I am looking forward to the freedom, yet I know I will miss everyone. I will also miss this region of Wisconsin. I am not a native of Wisco, but I consider myself a Sconnie nonetheless. Everything seems very surreal right now. I keep expecting something to happen to make everything fall apart. I am also a very impatient person and I want to get things underway already! We have to buy a laptop, a new camera and oh yeah....a camper and a truck! I am off to take my very last swim in the rockin' awesome pool here at work! I sure will miss it in addition to my co-workers!
